Fan power in Nepal!!!!!
Passion, pride, and powerful connection that’s what Nepali cricket is all about. In an exciting announcement that has made every cricket lover in Nepal cheer with joy, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has won the ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year award for the Asia region.
This recognition comes straight from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and celebrates the strong digital bond between Nepal’s national cricket team and its fans. Among all the cricketing nations in Asia, Nepal stood out for the unique and powerful way it connected with its supporters online.
The ICC introduced this award to honor national cricket boards that have made outstanding efforts in building meaningful relationships with fans using digital platforms. Nepal's win is proof of how a small cricketing nation with a big heart and even bigger passion can lead the way.
From creative social media posts to fan-driven campaigns, live digital interactions, and heartfelt videos — CAN has kept Nepali fans close, no matter where they are in the world. Whether it was match day celebrations or behind-the-scenes moments, CAN made sure that the fans always felt like they were part of the journey.
This achievement is not just for CAN, but for every fan who cheers, comments, shares, and shows their love for the team online. Nepal has one of the most passionate cricket fanbases in the world. The stadiums are always full, streets are flooded during match wins, and the internet lights up with support every time the team takes the field.
The award reflects the beautiful relationship between the team and its people — a relationship built on trust, excitement, and loyalty. It’s not just cricket in Nepal. It’s an emotion, a shared heartbeat that connects millions across the country and the globe.
CAN’s efforts during major tournaments, especially during the Asia Cup and World Cup qualifiers, brought fans closer than ever before. From emotional highlights to fan stories and interactive contests, the digital content became a celebration of both players and supporters.
With this award, Nepal now stands tall among the best in Asia — ahead of larger and more experienced cricketing nations — reminding the world that passion beats everything.
This moment is a symbol of unity, of hard work from CAN's media team, and of love from every fan who never stops believing.
