Nepal is celebrating a gaming milestone that’s shaking the esports world! Horaa eSports, the pride of Nepali PUBG Mobile, has secured an incredible second place in the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) Central and South Asia (CSA) Spring 2025, earning 139 points in the Grand Finals. This stellar performance in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from June 12 to June 22, 2025, has not only etched their name in esports history but also clinched their spot in the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025. Alongside them, Mongolia’s APG took first place, and Pakistan’s 4Thrives Esports (4T) claimed third, all three teams qualifying for the global showdown in Riyadh. Let’s unpack this thrilling journey of skill, strategy, and Nepali pride.
The PMSL CSA Spring 2025 was a high-stakes battleground, hosting 20 elite teams from Central and South Asia, all vying for a $200,000 prize pool and three coveted PMWC 2025 slots. Held in Almaty, the tournament saw fierce competition from teams like Virtus Pro, Team Spirit, and Nepal’s own DRS Gaming. Horaa eSports, however, stole the spotlight with their relentless drive and tactical brilliance. With a roster featuring stars like NoFear, SkY, MafiaNinja, JiGGL3, SleepY, and HaitDami, they proved that Nepal is a force to be reckoned with in global esports.
The tournament kicked off with the Group Stage, where teams were divided into five groups of four for the Calibration Round. Over two days, June 12 and 13, Horaa played eight of ten matches, showcasing their ability to hold their ground against top-tier squads. The Survival Stage, spanning June 14 to 18, was a grueling test of endurance with 30 matches over five days. Each team played 24 matches, and Horaa’s consistency shone through, earning them 158 points and a sixth-place finish in this stage, securing their spot in the Grand Finals.
The Grand Finals, held from June 20 to 22, were where Horaa eSports truly unleashed their potential. Competing among the top 16 teams, they played 18 intense matches, with the Smash Rule kicking in on the final day, June 22. This rule set a match point threshold of 135 points, which Horaa themselves helped establish with their standout performance. Their strategic rotations, clutch eliminations, and aggressive plays propelled them to second place with 139 points, just behind APG, which led the leaderboard. 4Thrives Esports secured third, rounding out the PMWC qualifiers. This runner-up finish not only earned Horaa a significant share of the prize pool but also cemented their place in the PMWC 2025, set for July 25 to August 3 in Riyadh.
This achievement is a game-changer for Nepal’s esports scene. Horaa eSports, alongside DRS Gaming, who finished seventh with 152 points, showcased the raw talent and potential brewing in the Himalayan nation. PUBG Mobile has long been a passion in Nepal, with local tournaments and a vibrant community fueling its growth. Horaa’s second-place finish in PMSL CSA 2025 is a testament to the country’s rising prominence in esports, inspiring young gamers to dream big and aim for the global stage.
Horaa eSports’ journey to this moment wasn’t overnight. As a Nepali PUBG Mobile team and esports organization, they’ve battled through regional and national events, including the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC) Nepal. Their current roster, led by in-game leader NoFear (Aayush Lama), is a perfect blend of individual flair and team synergy. Past players like Malik and Himson laid the foundation, but this lineup’s chemistry was key to their PMSL success. Months of practice, late-night strategy sessions, and an unyielding spirit carried them to this historic moment.
The PMWC 2025 will be no easy feat. Held as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC), it will pit Horaa against global powerhouses like Southeast Asia’s eArena, which set a high match point threshold in their regional PMSL, and top teams from the Americas and EMEA regions. But Horaa’s performance in PMSL CSA 2025 shows they’re ready for the challenge. Their ability to stay composed under pressure and execute precise strategies gives them a shot at a world title, carrying the hopes of Nepal’s gaming community.
The Nepali esports scene is electric with excitement. Social media is ablaze with fans hailing Horaa eSports as national heroes, with posts celebrating their 139-point triumph and PMWC qualification. This victory highlights the need for more support for esports in Nepal, from infrastructure to sponsorships. Organizations like the Nepal Esports Association and events like the Nepal Esports Championship are laying the groundwork, but Horaa’s success could spark greater investment, propelling more Nepali teams to global stages.
As Horaa eSports gears up for the PMWC 2025, their story is one of resilience and ambition. From Kathmandu’s gaming hubs to the international spotlight, they’ve shown that hard work and belief can turn dreams into reality. Nepali fans will be watching every match this July, cheering for every frag, every clutch, and every Chicken Dinner. Horaa eSports isn’t just a team—they’re a symbol of Nepal’s unstoppable rise in the world of esports, ready to take on the globe one battle at a time.
