Big changes are coming to YouTube! Starting July 15, YouTube is shaking things up by stopping payments for videos made with AI-generated voices or copied, low-effort content. The goal? To reward creators who pour their hearts into making original, human-driven videos. This move is all about celebrating real creativity and authentic effort on the platform.
YouTube’s new rules are clear: videos need to show human effort. This means creators must include things like voiceovers, thoughtful editing, or unique ideas that stand out. Using AI tools is still okay, but they can’t do all the heavy lifting. For example, a video fully made by an AI voice with no personal touch won’t earn money anymore. YouTube wants content that feels personal and engaging, not something that feels like it came straight from a computer.
The platform is cracking down on low-effort content, like videos that just copy others or recycle old ideas without adding anything new. Creators who rely on AI scripts or repetitive formats might see their earnings take a hit. Instead, YouTube is encouraging storytelling, originality, and content that connects with viewers on a human level. This change is a push to make the platform a space for genuine creativity.
For creators, this is a chance to shine by focusing on quality over quantity. Whether it’s through personal narration, creative video edits, or fresh ideas, YouTube is rewarding those who put in the work. The message is simple: bring your unique voice and make content that’s truly yours.
