"From the farm to the future" — this phrase perfectly captures the journey and impact of Anand Bagaria, a name that's become synonymous with innovation, leadership, and transformation in Nepal’s agribusiness sector. With a clear vision, fearless mindset, and deep-rooted purpose, he is not only changing how agribusiness is done in Nepal but also how the country sees entrepreneurship as a whole.
As the Managing Director of NIMBUS Group, Anand has spent years building a powerful, resilient ecosystem that connects farmers, producers, distributors, and consumers in a seamless value chain. And now, as a Shark on Shark Tank Nepal, he’s taking this mission even further by empowering a new generation of entrepreneurs who dare to dream big.
A Leader with Purpose and Passion
Anand Bagaria didn’t just step into the world of agribusiness; he redefined it. Under his leadership, NIMBUS has grown into one of the largest and most respected agribusiness groups in Nepal. Founded in 2000, the company began by supplying feed for poultry and has since expanded into multiple verticals, including Probiotech Industries, Shreenagar Agro, and the widely recognized Deepee brand.
What sets Anand apart is his deep understanding of the Nepali market and his relentless commitment to solving real problems. From working closely with farmers to introducing cutting-edge technology in agriculture, he leads with both heart and intelligence.
Shark Tank Nepal: More Than Just a TV Show
When Anand Bagaria took his seat as a Shark on Shark Tank Nepal, viewers saw not just a business mogul but a mentor. His presence on the show has been a game-changer. Entrepreneurs from every corner of Nepal now see him as a symbol of guidance, hope, and bold thinking.
His feedback is sharp, yet nurturing. His investments reflect his values — focusing on sustainability, scalability, and social impact. Whether it’s a young farmer with a unique organic product or a startup reimagining the food supply chain, Anand supports ideas that have both vision and purpose.
Building from the Ground Up
What makes Anand’s story even more powerful is that it’s rooted in real effort. He didn’t inherit success — he built it. Starting from a modest setup, he scaled up NIMBUS with calculated risk-taking, consistent innovation, and a deep respect for the local economy. Today, the company supports over 30,000 farmers and indirectly benefits hundreds of thousands more across Nepal.
Anand introduced practices that helped improve poultry farming, feed quality, and productivity. He also pushed for transparency and traceability in the food system, ensuring that consumers could trust the products they consume. His belief is simple: when farmers grow, the country grows.
The Deepee Success Story
One of NIMBUS’s biggest success stories is Deepee, the household name in animal nutrition and food products. With Anand’s guidance, the Deepee brand has become a leader in its category. It is known for quality, reliability, and innovation — values that Anand lives by. The brand’s presence stretches beyond Nepal’s borders, with ambitions to enter global markets soon.
Sustainability at the Core
Anand Bagaria’s approach is not just about profits; it’s about people and the planet. Sustainability is at the heart of his business strategy. Whether it's reducing waste in poultry farms, promoting organic fertilizers, or encouraging climate-smart agriculture, he always thinks long-term.
Through initiatives like contract farming and farmer training programs, he empowers rural communities to become self-reliant and profitable. His team regularly visits remote areas to teach farmers about better practices, supply them with quality inputs, and ensure market access for their products.
A Mentor Who Believes in Youth
One of Anand’s strongest beliefs is in the power of Nepal’s youth. On Shark Tank Nepal, this belief shines through clearly. He encourages young entrepreneurs not just to start businesses but to solve real problems, be it in agriculture, health, technology, or manufacturing.
He often reminds them that success doesn’t come overnight. It requires hard work, smart decisions, and a desire to create value. His mentorship has already helped multiple startups get off the ground, secure funding, and scale up.
A Humble Titan
Despite his success, Anand Bagaria remains grounded and approachable. He’s not one to boast. His calm demeanor, thoughtful insights, and respectful attitude make him one of the most admired business leaders in Nepal today.
Whether he's sitting in a corporate boardroom or walking through a rural farm, he treats everyone with equal respect. That’s what makes his leadership transformational rather than transactional.
The Road Ahead
Anand is now focused on expanding NIMBUS’s footprint through digital transformation and global outreach. He envisions a Nepal where agriculture is not seen as a backward sector but as a forward-looking engine of growth. With technology, youth involvement, and investor confidence, he believes Nepal can become a hub of agro-innovation in South Asia.
