Boom! Boom! Boom! That’s the sound people heard in Israel on Friday night. Iran launched many missiles at Israel. This big action was called Operation True Promise 3. It was a response to Israel’s earlier attack on Iran. Now, both countries are in a serious fight.
This article will tell you why Iran attacked, what happened during the attack, and what it means for the Middle East. We will use easy words so everyone can understand, even small children.
What is Operation True Promise 3?
Operation True Promise 3 is the name of Iran’s missile strike. It happened on a Friday night in 2025. Iran said it was a response to Israel’s airstrikes earlier that hit important places in Iran.
Iran’s leaders were very angry and promised to fight back. So, they launched missiles at Israeli cities like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Many people heard explosions and sirens went off.
The Iranian military said they launched two big waves of missiles in this operation.
Why Did Iran Launch Missiles at Israel?
Iran and Israel have been fighting secretly for a long time. But now, it has become more serious. Recently, Israel attacked a building in Iran. That building was very important. Iran says that attack killed military leaders.
So, Iran got angry and decided to hit back. They called their plan Operation True Promise 3. It is like saying, "We are keeping our promise to fight back."
According to Iranian Defense Chief Ahmad Vahidi, “This operation is our clear message. If Israel attacks, we will answer strongly.”
What Happened During the Missile Attack?
It was late Friday night when the missiles came. Sirens rang loudly in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. People were scared and ran to shelters. Some people saw missiles flying in the sky. The sky looked like a war movie.
Israel’s army said it used its Iron Dome defense system to stop some of the missiles. But still, explosions happened in many places. There was damage to buildings and some people got hurt.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “We will respond with full force. This attack will not go unanswered.”
Is This the Start of a Bigger War?
Now, people are very worried. Many fear that this could lead to a bigger war between Iran and Israel. Other countries in the Middle East, like Lebanon and Syria, are also watching closely.
The United Nations asked both sides to stop fighting. But things are not calming down yet. In fact, Middle East tensions are growing every hour.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, “This is a dangerous time. We ask both sides to stop before more people get hurt.”
What Is the Current Situation in Israel?
Today, people in Israel are still scared. Missile sirens are still going off in some cities. Many schools and shops are closed. Jerusalem explosions news is on every TV channel.
The Israeli army is now getting ready to strike back at Iran. So, more fighting may happen soon.
A mother in Tel Aviv told BBC News, “My kids were crying. We ran to the shelter. We don’t feel safe.”
How Is the World Reacting?
Big countries like the United States, Russia, and China are all watching. Some are asking for peace. Others are choosing sides.
The U.S. said it supports Israel’s right to defend itself but also asked Iran to stop.
Russia and China have asked both sides to stay calm. They don’t want this to become a big war that affects the whole world.
What’s Next in This Conflict?
No one knows for sure. But it looks like things will get worse before they get better. Iran has said that if Israel hits again, they will launch more missiles.
Israel is now holding emergency meetings. They are deciding how to answer this attack.
People in both countries are hoping for peace. But their leaders are preparing for more war.
Final Thoughts
This fight between Iran and Israel is not new. But now, it is more serious than ever. Operation True Promise 3 shows that Iran is ready to fight back when it feels attacked.
People in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are scared. Iran’s missile strike on Israel has made the whole world pay attention.
We all hope that leaders will choose peace, not war. But as of now, the Middle East is in a very dangerous place.
