Kulman Ghising, the man who brought light to Nepal by ending years of load shedding, is now shining a spotlight on a new path: politics. The former head of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) recently shared exciting news on social media. He plans to visit Nepali workers living in Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar. This move has sparked curiosity across Nepal, with many wondering if Kulman Ghising is stepping into the world of politics.
In his heartfelt social media post, Kulman Ghising spoke directly to Nepali expatriates. “You have been carrying the dream of our country while working tirelessly on foreign soil,” he wrote. “I am not coming to remember you from afar, but to connect with you closely.” His words sound like those of a leader who cares deeply about people. This has led many to believe he is preparing to enter Nepal politics.
A Voice for the Nepali Diaspora
Kulman Ghising’s announcement is special because it focuses on Nepali expatriates. These are the hardworking men and women who leave Nepal to work in countries like Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar. They send money back home to support their families and help Nepal grow. But their lives are not easy. They face long hours, tough conditions, and sometimes even loneliness.
By planning to meet them in person, Kulman Ghising shows he understands their struggles. He wants to listen to their stories, share their emotions, and build a strong connection. “Your struggles, resilience, and contributions are beyond what words can express,” he said. This message has touched the hearts of many Nepalis, both at home and abroad.
Why This Matters
For years, Kulman Ghising has been a hero in Nepal. As the head of the NEA, he worked hard to make sure every home had electricity. Before he took charge, Nepal faced hours of power cuts every day, called load shedding. It made life hard for families, students, and businesses. Kulman Ghising changed that by bringing steady power to the country. His success made him a household name and a symbol of hope.
Now, his decision to reach out to Nepali expatriates suggests he wants to help even more people. Politics could be his way to do that. In Nepal, politics is a big part of how the country is run. Leaders in politics make decisions about schools, hospitals, roads, and jobs. If Kulman Ghising enters politics, he might bring his problem-solving skills to these areas.
A Message of Unity and Hope
In his social media post, Kulman Ghising spoke like a true leader. His words were kind and encouraging. He asked Nepali expatriates to stay safe, disciplined, and positive. “The nation remembers you,” he said. This message makes workers in Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar feel valued. It shows that someone cares about their hard work and dreams.
This kind of message is important in politics. Leaders need to inspire people and make them feel heard. By reaching out to expatriates, Kulman Ghising is showing he wants to connect with all Nepalis, no matter where they are. This could be the first step in a bigger plan to serve the country through politics.
What People Are Saying
The news of Kulman Ghising’s plans has created a buzz in Nepal. On social media, many are praising his decision to meet Nepali expatriates. “Kulman sir is a true leader. He always thinks about the people,” one person wrote. Others believe this is a sign he is serious about politics. “He’s already done so much for Nepal. Imagine what he could do as a political leader!” another comment said.
However, some are wondering what this means for Nepal politics. Kulman Ghising’s work at the NEA was not without challenges. In March 2025, he was removed from his role as NEA’s managing director. Many believe this was because of political reasons. His removal caused protests and debates across the country. Some worry that politics in Nepal can be complicated, and Kulman Ghising might face tough challenges if he joins.
What’s Next for Kulman Ghising?
For now, Kulman Ghising has not officially said he is entering politics. But his actions speak louder than words. Planning a trip to meet Nepali expatriates in Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar is a big step. It shows he wants to understand the needs of people who are often forgotten. It also shows he is ready to connect with Nepalis on a deeper level.
If Kulman Ghising does enter politics, he could bring a fresh perspective. Nepal faces many challenges, like creating jobs, improving schools, and building better roads. Nepali expatriates also want their voices to be heard. They want better support for their families back home and safer working conditions abroad. Kulman Ghising’s focus on these workers could make him a strong voice for them in politics.
A Bright Future Ahead
As Kulman Ghising prepares to visit Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar, Nepalis are watching closely. His message of unity and hope has already inspired many. Whether he enters politics or not, his efforts to connect with Nepali expatriates show his love for the country and its people.
For Nepali expatriates, this is a chance to share their stories with someone who cares. For Nepal, this could be the start of a new chapter with Kulman Ghising leading the way. As he said, “The nation remembers you.” Now, it’s up to Kulman Ghising to show how he will help Nepal shine even brighter.
