At first, everything was peaceful. Teachers stood together, held signs, and shouted slogans. Some carried banners that said "Respect Teachers" and "Better Schools for Children." The teachers wanted the government to hear their voices without any trouble.

But things changed quickly. Some teachers tried to walk into a restricted area where they were not allowed to go. Police officers stopped them and asked them to stay back. When the teachers refused, the police pushed them back using their shields. This made many teachers very angry.

Some teachers started throwing stones at the police. In return, the police used water cannons to push the crowd back. Water sprayed everywhere, and people ran in different directions to stay dry and safe.

The protest, which had been calm, turned loud and chaotic. Some teachers fell on the wet roads. Others tried to help their friends. Police officers also got hit by flying stones and tried to protect themselves with their shields.

"We just wanted to talk to the government," said one teacher at the protest. "But now, they are treating us like criminals."

Police said they had to use water cannons to stop the teachers from entering protected areas. "We respect the teachers," one police officer said. "But we must also protect public property and make sure everyone stays safe."

Many people watching the protest said they felt sad to see teachers and police fighting. Parents, students, and other citizens came to see what was happening. Some even joined the teachers in shouting for better rights.

By the afternoon, the protest became smaller. Many teachers left the area, wet and tired. Some promised to come back and protest again until the government listens to them.

Government officials have said they are ready to talk with the teachers soon. They asked everyone to stay peaceful and calm.

Teachers are a very important part of the community. They teach children how to read, write, and become good citizens. Many people believe that teachers deserve respect and good working conditions.

The situation in Kathmandu is now calmer, but many people are watching closely. Everyone hopes the teachers and the government will find a way to solve the problem peacefully.
